Air Classics is an aviation museum located at Aurora Municipal Airport where the aircraft actually fly. You can sit in an A-7 that flew in the Gulf War and climb into the pilot's seat of a UH-1 Huey helicopter. The museum's collection includes aircraft, vehicles, uniforms and other aviation memorabilia from the 1930s to the present time.

The museum has over 40 aircraft and missiles on display, including replicas of Charles Lindbergh's Spirit of St. Louis and Chanute Field's first aircraft, the Curtiss Jenny biplane. The world's only remaining Boeing XB-47 Stratojet prototype is also on exhibit. Visitors can go inside the cockpit of a Boeing B-52D Stratofortress, enter the cargo bay of a Lockheed C-130 Hercules, and go underground into a Minuteman ICBM training silo. The museum also has a large collection of Frasca flight simulators on display.

The museum features permanent and rotating exhibits, a mini-theatre, and static outdoor displays of historical aircraft and vehicles. The Museum's DC-3 Flagship is located in a hangar nearby and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
